AMWAB focuses on poverty reduction as the central goal of its investment initiatives. Recognizing the importance of both collective efforts and access to development tools, the organization emphasizes capital availability and sustainable development knowledge. When the poor are equipped with tools, skills, and the opportunity to act, they can shift their circumstances toward improved socio-economic conditions.

The small investment programs aim to enhance the economic conditions of poor, landless, and unemployed individuals. This is done through structured investment systems, particularly those aligned with Islamic principles of saving and investment. The target beneficiaries are the unemployed and those earning a monthly average income of Tk 3,000 to 5,000, many of whom work in small businesses, rickshaw pulling, grocery shops, and physical labor. Notably, about 50 percent of them cultivate land without owning a permanent home.

The project’s primary goal is to bring together individuals with economic potential and engage them in structured economic activities through group and center formations. Special focus is placed on women’s participation in these investment opportunities. Additional objectives include reducing illiteracy, improving family economic conditions, fostering positive financial habits in both men and women, and creating job opportunities within families through investment grading.
