AMWAB implements Income Generating Activities (IGA) to assist vulnerable groups—particularly women—in establishing sustainable means of development. These activities are designed to be carried out at home or nearby, with the goal of making women more self-reliant. By becoming income generators, these women can improve their family’s financial situation and invest in their children’s education. The overarching aim is to alleviate poverty through sustainable development and to encourage professionalism in various trades.
By 2019, AMWAB aimed to build the capacity of 500 individuals through trade or profession selection. The initiative supports beneficiaries in beginning new livelihoods, earning income, and improving their living standards. It includes skill training, startup support, and funding. The program also addresses issues such as meeting household needs and eliminating poverty-related conditions. Activities include identifying unemployed youth, selecting trade-wise training, and allocating funds.
